stephan hagemannI voted!
I mostly think about structure in software and in the teams that build it. What belongs together, what should stay apart, and why that's harder than it sounds.
And I even got a sticker…
In Colorado, every registered voter receives a mail ballot, and November 3 is the last day of voting in this local, state and federal election cycle. My ballot arrived two-ish weeks ago. There is a lot on it, so it took me a couple of days to research the issues and fill it all out. Then it took a couple more days until a good opportunity came to swing by a ballot drop box.
On Monday I got an email: “Larimer County Elections received your 2026 General Election mail ballot. You will receive another email when your signature has been reviewed.” Today I got another one: “Thank you for voting! Larimer County Elections has accepted your 2026 General Election mail ballot and it will be counted. Ballot counting can begin on October 19, 2026 according to Colorado law.”
Such a smooth process. Thank you, Colorado!
If you haven’t yet and can: please learn about the issues and cast your vote!
